MOLLY KRESSLER

I’m a PhD student working with juvenile lemon sharks in a complex mangrove nursery habitat in Bimini, Bahamas. My work aims to define a novel integrative framework for studying the concepts of energy landscape and fear landscapes in a seascape. I believe by applying core principles of behavioural ecology in a wild marine context, we can better understand the drivers of marine animal movement, and through this understanding improve our standards of protection by achieving a better balance of the ecological needs of both the ocean and humans.
